Password Removal

Yemtec has specialized in password removals for many years and tries to keep up with the latest encryption updates. This aspect of service is one in which we have excelled. A simple phone call, or email with model details to one of our experienced staff will confirm if your password can be removed by our engineers.

We are one of the few companies in Europe that can remove passwords from most machines and we can supply the original supervisor password, instead of the normal password removal done by other companies. This will allow you to keep the original information on the HDD instead of having to discard it.

Supervisor & user passwords

These passwords reside on the Planar (Motherboard) CPU Card, in area of memory that by definition is not erased by power cycling or removing the batteries, or by changing the bios chip.

We have developed and purchased original hardware and software to allow us to access the security chips & BIOS's on machines, without actually removing the chips of the board, (this is necessary with some of the IBM machines, as the chips have security on them to prevent tampering) our equipment is the only way to remove passwords on some of the newer IBM machines.

In some cases, when a Supervisor password is set, the Hard Disk password is also automatically set. In this case, we can sometimes remove the hard disk password as well, but in many cases it is easier and cheaper to replace the drive.

If you want the Hard disk password removed, we will charge an additional fee for this, if you request it. (Subject to us being able to do it of course.)

We will remove the Supervisor Password and the user password. The process of Supervisor Password removal applies to all models and requires proprietary software and hardware engineered by Yemtec.

We can do almost all machines, all brands (inc. IBM, Compaq, HP, Sony, etc) and are constantly researching the new models as they are released.

User & Supervisor password removal starts from £25.00 right up to £95.00 depending on brand and mode (prices excludes VAT)

We give a large discount on batches of 10 machines or more of the same type.

Supervisor & User password removal does not include Hard Disk password removal. Hard Disk password removal can be done, but is not normally economical. EXCEPT for some machines, where we can (NORMALLY) supply the supervisor password which will allow you to access the drive as normal. This is not a guarantee on the password removal service, and in some cases the HDD will have to be replaced.
